The OurPath app lets you set your own targets to change your behaviour and achieve a healthier lifestyle. Your online health coach and support group will help you to eat well, be more active and stay motivated.
The 3-month programme is designed to encourage you to make better lifestyle choices and help avoid developing conditions like type 2 diabetes.
Who is it suitable for?
You must be over 18 years of age, based in the UK and have a body mass index (BMI) over 21.
How does it work?
OurPath's online weight loss programme gives you the information and support needed to build healthier lifestyle habits. If you sign up for the "Tech subscription", you'll receive 3G scales and an activity tracker that link with the app so you can monitor your progress as you go. The OurPath nutritional handbook and recipe book are also included.
The "No Tech" subscription lets you monitor your activity and weight readings through Apple Health or Google Fit.
Over the 12 weeks, you'll work with your dedicated health coach to increase activity levels, create balanced meals, tackle negative thought patterns and learn how to deal with setbacks. You'll also have the support of a peer group and will receive daily articles to help and motivate you in different areas of lifestyle change.
At the end of the programme you'll have the option of moving on to "Sustain" for ongoing support until you feel confident it is no longer needed.
How do I access it?
You can access the OurPath programme through their website or by downloading the app for free from the App Store or Google Play.
The 3-month course costs £60 a month for the "Tech subscription", which includes an activity tracker and smart scales, or £30 a month for the "No Tech" subscription. An optional £10 a month subscription is also available for continued support.
