The parents and families of babies born prematurely.
The app is free to download from the App Store and Google Play.
The IFDC app has been designed as part of Imperial College Healthcare Trust's Integrated Family Delivered Care project. It aims to put parents at the forefront of their premature baby's care, with the support of healthcare professionals.
This approach has been found to reduce the anxiety of parents, as well as benefit their newborns' development by improving weight gain and breastfeeding rates, and reducing infections and the length of hospital stays.
The app gives parents the opportunity to learn more about neonatal care by accessing medically accurate information from a trusted source.
The timeline function can be used to easily track the weight and length of your baby, record skin-to-skin cuddles, and monitor feeding and expressing rates. Events, pictures and memories can be stored in the app's secure diary.
