FearFighter is an online course for people who struggle with phobias, panic or anxiety. The nine-week course teaches you to confront and change the thoughts that cause panic and anxiety. You will learn to control your fears by gradually being exposed to the situations that trigger them.
FearFighter is for adults who struggle with phobias or feelings of panic or anxiety.
Contact your local NHS Trust to find out if they offer FearFighter as a free treatment.
You may be able to get a referral from your GP or enrol on the course yourself.
You will be put in touch with a clinician who will offer you phone support throughout the course.
The course can also be purchased directly from the provider CCBT.
There are two versions of FearFighter available privately:
FearFighter can be accessed on any device that connects to the internet, such as a computer, smartphone or tablet.
FearFighter uses cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). CBT can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave.
The course is divided into nine sessions. Each session takes about 50 minutes. You are advised to do one session a week.
The course features videos, exercises, downloadable content and homework.
You'll be encouraged to fill in questionnaires each week so you can plot your progress.
